Definitions/Explanation/Notes:

Measurement is defined as the act of measuring, a measured dimension, extent or size, and as a system of liquid measurement. It is used to find time, mass, length, volume and temperature conversions.

Measurment is a system used to find thim, mass, length, volume, and tempurature,. Measurment uses a uniform system thus making it less strtessful to communicate ones ideas and data with another (comparing material).

Units:

Length-meter (m)

Time- seconds (sec)

Mass- gram (kilo) (g)

Temperature- Celsius (C degrees)

Sample Problem

90 mph =_________ feet/seconds

1hour x 90 miles x 5280 feet

3600 sec. x 1 x 1 mile =

475200 = 132 feet/second

3600

Everyday Example:

Mesurment measurment is used daily such as when a person looks at the nutritional value "Wow this cake has 9 grams of fat" , "What size of soda do you need a 2 lliter bottle or a 1 liter bottle of soda",Hey The Race for the Cure is not that long it's only 5 kilometers", "Hey Bob only 3600 seconds left till school is out"
